Does your by-name list include all young people currently experiencing homelessness including:

1C: Young people living in unsafe or unstable situations 

Community Highlight: Yakima

  • Rods house and Space are doing enrollments for all YYA entering programs

  • have a Street Outreach Services program and a Homeless Student Stability program that conduct outreach with this population

  • 15 school districts have signed MOUs, agreeing to refer eligible young people to services

  • Created a new CE access point with the Yakima Homeless Network to do assessments, enroll onto the BNL and connect unstably housed YYA to services.

Community Highlight: Walla Walla

  • The Youth Engagement Team (YET) conduct street outreach and weekly outreach to schools during the lunch hour. They are also the main point of contact for referrals from agencies

  • The Youth Engagement Team (YET) are doing enrollments for all YYA being added to the BNL that are not being captured by other systems such transitional housing and HMIS-participating homeless shelters

  • A single point of contact referral form is used to school intervention specialists and staff from the Juvenile Justice Center to connect YYA to housing navigators

  • Blue Mountain Action Council partners with the YWCA and Christian Aid Center shelters to conduct CE intakes once a week to ensure YYA are being added to the BNL and connected to services
